It’s finally here! The first full trailer for Season 3 of “The Crown” has been released.

We finally get a real look at a new set of actors playing the British royal family.

I’m a bit undecided – truth be told.  I grew to love Claire Foy, Vanessa Kirby  and Matt Smith.

But there is a reason there’s a new cast.

The new actors need to accurately reflect the ages of the characters they are portraying – trying to keep pace with the world during the 60’s and 70’s.

We will get to see an adult Prince Charles this time around, as he considers his future in the royal family after taking a liking to a woman named Camilla Shand.

Ah, we know how that story ends. Some of us still hold a bit of a grudge.

I’ve said it before.  I have an interest in the royal family.  Ever since that early morning in July, waking up in the middle of the night, to watch the wedding of Charles and Diana.

Following Diana as she grew and blossomed.  Following as her heart was broken. Following as she went on to change the world in her own unique way. Capturing hearts.

Our hearts broke for her when she died.  Our hearts broke for her boys. Diana’s boys. We watched them grow. We watched them marry and start families of their own.

Camilla, I believe, was Charles true love.  I believe so much heartache could have been avoided if they had only been allowed to marry in the first place.

Though, selfishly, we never would have gotten to know the “People’s Princess”.

I know, that I for one, can’t wait for the next season.  I love the insight it gives us.  Into the pressures of living this lifestyle. So odd to us.  But so fascinating at the same time.

“The Crown” season three premieres on Netflix November 17th.
